Getting Started Downloads

The latest stable releases of the downloads you are most likely to want if you are new to Pentaho or BI in general.

• <strong>Data Integration (Kettle)</strong> - delivers powerful Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) capabilities. Use this stand alone application to visually design transforms and jobs that extract your existing data and make it available for easy reporting and analysis.
• <strong>Report Designer</strong> - provides access to information in relational, OLAP, or XML-based data sources, and delivers output in formats including PDF, HTML, Excel, plain text etc. Use this stand alone application to graphically design reports for your desktop or that can be delivered via BI Server.
• <strong>BI Server</strong> - allows you to integrate and distribute content created by the tools in the Pentaho BI Suite. It provides web distribution, dashboards, security, auditing, scheduling, content storage and the ability to design custom solutions to BI problems. This ready to run server download includes the Mondrian, reporting and Kettle engines, file based repository, sample data and many samples.
• <strong>Schema workbench</strong> - is the tool that helps you create Mondrian OLAP schema. You can present your data multi-dimensionally and let users select what dimensions and measures to explore, interactively drilling into and cross-tabulating data
